Gamescom is approaching and as many of us have established, this is one
of the highly prominent events for the community. August 20th is the
date that the next-generation of gaming will be getting some prevailing
news and many of the 'major' companies including Sony will be revealing
details and plans for the company; we will be seeing information
involving the PS4's release plans and exclusive interviews with many
developers.
A post on the Playstation's European Blog announced that during the
event, many of you Playstation users/fans can expect to see the official
PS4 release date and some of the games going to be involved with the
first-day release plan. Noon EST is when we can expect to see the first
live-streams airing the internet -- as a whole, Playstations news and
updates can be expected; this will consist of PS Vita and PS3 news --
"Release plans for PlayStation 4" will play a constituent part during
Gamescom.
Sony plans to 'steal' the spot-light through-out this event as Phil
Spencer, Corporate VP of Microsoft Studios, will deliver the Gamescom
keynote when the convention begins. Phil Spencer stated that, "Gamescom
is the ideal platform to discuss the impact of new hardware, accessories
and software for the next generation of games. There has never been a
better time to be a part of this industry. It is exciting to see how
developers and authors to use the new opportunities and create a
completely new way of playing."
The event will consist of Sony flourishing their up-coming games,
having aristocratic interviews with game developers including a short
exclusive 'preview' to some of "Europe's biggest franchises."
